In this lesson, students will preview an animated courtroom scene that uses interjections, then use code blocks to create a DIY project where Codey uses different interjections in a courtroom. Coding activities include broadcasting a message, changing the font and text inside Codey's speech bubble, and using the "animate" and "say" blocks to make Actors react to Codey's interjections. Students are provided the necessary visual assets (backgrounds, costumes, Actors) and code blocks in the DIY module.
After completing the DIY module, students will be asked 5 quiz questions that test their knowledge on identifying interjections. By the end of the lesson, students will have experimented with coding concepts (e.g., conditionals, input/output, messaging, animation) while reinforcing different examples of interjections.
