In this lesson, students will preview a Ninja Math Tables example and select a number at the bottom of the Stage to generate different math tables. Next, students will follow a step-by-step tutorial in the DIY (do-it-yourself) module to create their own version of the project they just previewed. They will program the Actor to draw out multiplication tables and display its multiplication equation. If students finish early, ask them to look at step 4/4 of the tutorial, which encourages students to change the starting and ending values of the multiplication tables.
After completing the DIY module, students will be asked 5 quiz questions involving numerical multiplication problems. By the end of the lesson, students will have experimented with coding concepts (e.g., advanced math, conditionals, text handling, loops) while reinforcing differences between mathematical tables.
