    Past tenses are a topic your kids will have to touch on, and understand fully. In order to construct sentences properly and speak English the right way, there are some rules little kids must learn early enough. The aim of this worksheet is to help them get past whatever confusions they have about irregular past tense verbs. Help them find all of the irregular past tense verbs in the word search. You can ask them to read the words in this printout aloud as they find them, to help them learn better.

    This worksheet will test your students’ knowledge in two ways. It will see how well they know their phonetic sounds, and it will also test their word recognition skills. Your students should already have at least a basic knowledge of the past tense form of verbs before beginning this exercise. First, ask them to read the incomplete sentences aloud. Help them if you need to. Then, read the options to them, and help them check off the correct word to complete the sentence.
