Resources - Lesson for Grade 1, Chapter - Economy

In the "Resources" lesson from the "Your World" unit under the chapter on Economy, first-grade students will embark on an insightful journey to discover the different types of resources that shape our world. This lesson is designed to introduce young learners to the concept of resources, focusing on three main types: natural, human, and capital resources.

Students will begin with exploring natural resources, understanding that these are materials or substances such as minerals, forests, water, and fertile land that occur in nature and can be used for economic gain. Through the Natural Resources Worksheet, they will learn to identify examples of natural resources and comprehend their importance in our daily lives and the environment.

Following this, the lesson progresses to human and capital resources. Through the Human and Capital Resources Worksheet, students will identify human resources as the skills, knowledge, and labor people contribute to the production of goods and services. They will also learn about capital resources, which include man-made objects like machinery, buildings, and tools that help produce goods and services.
