Can I Add These Fractions?

In this lesson, students will play a fractions game and answer math questions that involve adding fractions. Next, students will follow a step-by-step tutorial in the DIY (do-it-yourself) module to create their own version of the game they just played. They will change the background, make multi-step math questions, create multiple endings, and animate Actors. If students finish early, ask them to look at the bonus section in step 7/8 of the tutorial, which encourages them to experiment with the given code blocks to make their project react to changes.
After completing the DIY module, students will be asked 5 quiz questions involving adding fractions. By the end of the lesson, students will have experimented with coding concepts (e.g., simple messaging, input/output, loops, basic math, and simple sound playing) while reinforcing adding fractions.
