Activity 2 / Producer or Consumer? Worksheet
Before beginning this simple worksheet, you can test your child’s knowledge by asking them if they know who a producer is, and who a consumer is. Not worries if your child comes up empty here. You can still give them a good definition. A producer is someone who makes something, and a consumer is a person who buys something. For example, your child’s favourite snacks are made by the producers, and you act as the consumers by buying and eating it. Now, look at the picture in the free pdf with your kids. Help them check the box next to the producer or consumer.

Producers are people who make things that the consumers buy. Does your child know this? Ask them to give you some examples of producers. Then, give them your own example of a producer, like this shoe maker in the worksheet. Ask your child if they can tell you what is happening in each of the pictures. Then, ask them if they can arrange the shoe making process in the right order. Now, help them select the number that shows the correct order.
