This free chess strategy worksheet will help your child learn some more skills for getting out of check—protecting and capturing the dangerous piece. With this downloadable, your chess wizard will learn that if their king is in trouble, they have to be protected with another piece in the attack line, or capturing the checking piece. Then they'll have the opportunity to practice both protecting and capturing with the sample boards.
