Shape Explosion Worksheet
This fun worksheet shows your students how some shapes exploded and became two or more equal parts. On the left side of the picture printout are the four shapes, lined up vertically. The pictures show that the shapes exploded first into a number of parts, and the second time into another number of parts. Which shape in each pair exploded into a smaller share? Ask your child to point these out for you, and help them circle the correct number of shares for that shape.

To resolve this worksheet, students should know how to identify and name basic shapes, understand that a shape can be divided into equal parts, and be able to count and compare the number of parts each shape is divided into.
