An adverb should be easily identified in a sentence. This is why you must make sure that your kids understand very well what an adverb is. An adverb adds further information to a given verb. Give your kids an example of a sentence with an adverb, and ask them to point out the adverb in the sentence. Some adverbs end with –ly. Look at this worksheet and help your kids circle the shells with adverbs in the picture.
