Author's Purpose Worksheet
When an author writes something, they usually have a message to pass across, or are giving more information on a particular topic. As your kids learn to read, it is important that they know how to get correct information out of whatever they read. In this worksheet, there are three different descriptions of texts. Help your kids figure out the author’s purpose, and then circle it out of the options provided.
