Reading Non-Fiction

Nonfiction stories are based on real life events, and often shed more light on specific events, places, people, or things. These nonfiction worksheets will teach children more about things like wildlife, sea life, government, the dentist, and so much more. Read the passages aloud to your children, slowly, and have them repeat the words after you. When you come across a new word for them, point at the word and carefully enunciate the sounds. After, you can ask them to attempt reading the passages on their own and offer your help where they struggle. At the end of the passages, go through the simple questions with your kids.
