The Government is a body of people who preside over communities or even countries. There are many branches of government, and they are split up so that each is closer to the immediate community. For example, we have the police who enforce the laws. In the United States, there are three branches, known as the judicial, legislative, and executive. Read the passage aloud to your kids so that they learn more about these branches of government and help them identify the main idea.
