Arctic World Worksheet
Before beginning this worksheet, you might want to ask your students if they know where the Arctic is located, and what we can find there. If they don’t have a clue, grab the world atlas, and point out the location of the cold Arctic. The Arctic is extremely cold and mostly covered in snow. The animals that live there are natives, and have found ways to survive in the harsh weather. Look at the animals in the worksheet with your students and help them decide which ones live in the Arctic.

In order to resolve this worksheet, students should have a basic understanding of the geography of the world and be able to locate the Arctic on the map. They should also have some knowledge of how animals adapt to their environments, specifically the extreme conditions found in the Arctic. Finally, they should be able to examine the characteristics of animals and determine which ones are likely to live in the Arctic.
