These three words, ‘there’, ‘their’ and ‘they’re’ sound a lot alike, and are often misused by people who do not really understand the difference between the three. The words are what are known as homophones. Homophones are words which are spelt in a similar way, but have different meanings. Explain to your kids what each of the three homophones means, and when they should be used. Then, help them choose the correct homophones to complete each of the sentences in the worksheet. Trace the line to the correct word.
