The /th/ Sound Worksheet
Phonetics and the many different phonetic sounds can be confusing to your students. Help them get rid of some of that confusion with this simple but educative worksheet. The /th/ sound comes in two variants; the voiced, and unvoiced. The voiced /th/ sound is found in words like ‘mother’. Ask your child to say this word aloud. Now, look at the pictures in the downloadable pdf with your students. Ask them to say the name of each picture. Help them check the one that has a voiced /th/ sound, like found in ‘mother’.
Required skills:
Students should know the difference between the voiced and unvoiced /th/ sounds, and be able to identify words with a voiced /th/ sound, like 'mother'. They should also have basic pronunciation skills and vocabulary knowledge.
