In this lesson, students will preview a project about 90-degree and 30-degree angles. Next, students will follow a step-by-step tutorial in the DIY (do-it-yourself) module to create their own version of the project they just previewed. They will add more backgrounds, code the Stage to switch backgrounds, add Actors, and create their own examples of angles. If students finish early, ask them to look at the bonus section in step 8/8 of the tutorial, which encourages students to use the provided code blocks to make the Actors move, play music, rotate, or change costumes.
After completing the DIY module, students will be asked 5 quiz questions involving angles. By the end of the lesson, students will have experimented with coding concepts (e.g., simple events, costume handling, input/output, visibility) while reinforcing different types of angles.
